Designing Instructional Leadership Structures to Support Teacher Development

With regard to Instructional Leadership Teams (ILTs), the two operative questions are:

  1. Are teachers are getting a sufficient amount of support?

  2. Is that support effective in improving teacher practice and ultimately student learning outcomes.

This resource provides structures that create accountability for ILTs (to ensure ILT members are providing a sufficient amount of support) and that facilitate skill building (to ensure ILT members are developing the skills to be effective in improving teacher practice).
